Music

Salcombe has a strong musical tradition, both instrumental and choral. In addition to performing in internal productions, the Infant and Junior Choirs have an enviable record of success at local festivals. The Junior School houses a designated music room and all children in the juniors learn the recorder and keyboard skills in timetabled music lessons. In addition, there are opportunities for children to receive individual tuition in piano, violin and guitar.

Drama

Alongside the drama classes offered at Salcombe, drama productions are presented at the school throughout the year, involving children of all ages. In addition, individual tuition in Elocution is offered, as an optional extra, leading to annual examinations by the Central School of Speech and Drama.

Art

Art is taught to all pupils from Reception class and there is a designated Art Room on the junior site. Every year, Salcombe hosts a school Art Exhibition at a nearby gallery where the artwork of children of all ages is displayed.
