Getting Pastoral Help
Getting help
- Form Teachers provide the first step for any pupils who need help or advice.
- The Directors of Upper and Lower School serve as the next step beyond the Form Teacher for additional Pastoral Care support for pupil's academic, extra-curricular, or personal activities, or with any stress related problem.
- Depending on the area of concern, the Form teachers may give guidance to the pupils or they may choose to refer pupils to a Subject Specialist, Subject Co-ordinator, the Director Pastoral Care or the Head Teacher for assistance.
Confidentiality: Confidentiality is paramount and will be maintained unless the safety of a pupil is at risk or if a pupil gives their permission for the issue to be discussed. Parents will always be involved by the school when there are serious concerns.
Parents First Point of Contact: The Form Teachers will usually be the first point of contact who will maintain any necessary communication with parents.
Serious Issues: Parents who have serious concerns or questions are encouraged to contact either the Director, Upper School or the Director, Lower School who are the School's Pastoral coordinators. The Head will attend such meetings on request.
