Salcombe's Expectations for Staff

We offer a professional work place where high quality pastoral care for staff and children is part and parcel of the daily life of the School. We aim to ensure that  that all who teach and learn find themselves respected  and valued for their individual abilities.

We expect our staff will:

• have NQTS (all status considered), good qualifications;
• be  passionate about teaching and learning and be team players;;
• have sound curriculum knowledge and be willing to teach subjects other than their speciality wherever requested;
• have recent successful teaching experience and have a proven ability to engage children in lively, interactive learning;
• willingly attend School Events and be involved in the co-curricular life of the School; sporting, cultural and outdoor activities are heavily reliant on staff enthusiasm and commitment; and
• be committed to the use of information and communications technologies (ICT) in the curriculum; experience in this area is an advantage.

We expect our Administrative and Support Staff will:

• have appropriate qualifications and recent successful work experience;
• have a proven ability to carry out duties and tasks reliably, effectively and efficiently; and
• be committed to the use of information and communications technologies (ICT); experience in this area is an advantage.
