Meeting the Head
| The Head Mrs Christina (Tina) Leach commenced as Head of Salcombe in July, 2009 Tina was previously Executive Principal, St Mark's Church School, then a day school of approximately 500 pupils aged 2 to 15 years, in Wellington, New Zealand. She held this position for thirteen years, providing outstanding leadership at a time of significant change for the school, including the successful introduction of the International Baccalaureate programmes. Prior to St Mark's, Tina taught in two of New Zealand's leading independent schools, St Andrew's College, Christchurch, New Zealand and Samuel Marsden Collegiate School, Wellington, New Zealand where she was Head of Lower School for nine years. A long term member of the Independent Schools of New Zealand Association Heads Executive, the Independent Schools of New Zealand Executive, and the Anglican Schools Trust Board member, Tina also served on several education executives, from early childhood through to teacher training, and was a representative on a number of associated national and regional educational committees including the Christchurch Teachers College Council, the Christchurch Free Kindergarten Union and the New Zealand Free Kindergarten Executives.
