Girls and boys aged 3 to 11 attend our outstanding day school in North London. As they journey through Preschool, Pre-Prep and Prep they come to embrace and embody our motto 'Dare to Know'. The children grow not only in stature but in confidence, knowledge and understanding of the world around them. We are independent, proudly non-selective and have a rich 100-year history. Boys and girls can join Salcombe Preparatory the term they turn 3. As soon as they join us they access an outstanding curriculum. Subject specialists deliver weekly French, Spanish, Music and PE lessons while our expert teaching staff deliver English and Mathematics lessons and more as part of the curriculum. All our children make rapid progress through our individualised approach to their personalised learning and development. It is no wonder they far exceed the national standard when assessed.
When children graduate to the Prep site at Year 3 we continue to build upon the subject specialist teaching that began in the Pre-Prep. Our 7-year old pupils are introduced to a very different type of school day, one where they move to specialist classrooms for English, Maths, Science, Art, Humanities, Music and Language with subject teachers. This prepares pupils academically and practically for senior school and develops their independence, personal responsibility, confidence and resilience. The seamless educational journey of each child is at the heart of our school.
As parents you will rightly consider the cost of sending your child to private school. Here at Salcombe Preparatory School, we understand that parents want flexibility in the way they pay their fees. There are different options available to parents, from paying termly in advance by direct debit or if you would like even greater flexibility, monthly through the School Fee Plan.
