Outstanding pastoral care is central to the life of the Preparatory School. Each child knows that they are valued and respected as an individual, and as a part of the whole school community. The close-knit community we create is maintained throughout all of our schools, and pupils of all ages are encouraged to engage with their teachers on topics outside the curriculum to promote an atmosphere of trust between the pupils and staff.

The form teacher is at the heart of the pastoral system, guiding and supporting their classes on a daily basis supported by the staff team as a whole.

Mr Booth, our Deputy Head – Pastoral has overall responsibility for the pastoral care at both sites, which includes a combination of the carefully tailored Personal Social Health and Economic Citizenship Education curriculum; form-based circle time and pastorally focused assemblies.
